london trip fullClick for details: Working in partnership with the other Marsh FLOs at Brenzett, Lydd and New Romney schools I am planning a family trip to London on WEDNESDAY 30 MARCH.

THIS TRIP IS NOW FULL - HOWEVER IF YOU ARE STILL INTERESTED IN GOING PLEASE LET SARAH COOPER KNOW AND YOUR NAMES WILL BE PLACED ON A RESERVE LIST. IF THERE IS ENOUGH INTEREST THEN IT MAY BE POSSIBLE TO RUN A SECOND COACH

A coach will run from school and will take you to London dropping you immediately outside the Natural History and Science museums. Both are free to visit and are packed full of really exciting and interesting things for the children to see and do; what better opportunity for the children to build on their learning from science week a couple of weeks earlier?

Alternatively you may prefer to skip the museums and just do your own thing in London for the day. There are so many wonderful sights to experience that you might find a day isn’t long enough! If you chose this option you need to be aware that THE ONLY drop off and collection point will be the Museum site, the coach will not make multiple pick-ups from around London and you will need to be back at the pick-up point on time at the end of the day.

Please note that this is not a “school trip” rather a collaborative opportunity for families in the area to have a fantastic day out in the holidays. School cannot be held responsible for the events of the day or for any family not at the departure ‘Pick up Point’ on time for both outward and return journeys. The coach will be unable to wait for latecomers due to ‘Driver Hours’ limitations. Please ensure that the contact number given below is one on which you can be reached on the day of the trip.

The coach will depart from Dymchurch Primary school between 7.30 and 8.00 a.m and should be in London by about 10.30and we will aim to leave London at 5.00 to be home by about 7.30 in the evening. Obviously this is very dependent on traffic, but I do confidently expect to be spared operation stack this time!

The total cost of the trip will be £10.50 per person which will cover the travel to and from London. The museums are free to enter and there are areas where you can eat a packed lunch should you so wish. Obviously any additional travel, food or associated costs will be your responsibility on the day. This is a really cost effective opportunity for a day out in London and I have no doubt places will fill up quickly so if you do want to come along please fill in and return the slip together with PAYMENT IN FULL as soon as possible; seats cannot be held pending payment I’m afraid.
