Do you sometimes  Sarah CooperFLO logowish someone was there with time to listen?

Have you ever wondered where to go next?

FLO is here to listen, to help and to point you in the right direction

My name is Sarah Cooper and I am the Family Liaison Officer (FLO) working at Dymchurch Primary School.

I work Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday’s and Thursdays and will usually be at the gate before and after school. I am also available on those days on the phone numbers above and below; the mobile can accept messages and texts if that is more convenient.

A FLO is an additional source of support for parents and can help with a wide variety of issues, not just those connected with education. FLO can provide information, help and support in many areas such as health, parenting skills, training, finance, relationship breakdown and employment, as well as starting school or moving to Secondary School.

The key role of the FLO is to work with families to help overcome any barriers to children's learning by providing advice and support in those difficult times when it can be hard to know where to turn.

If there are any issues concerning you or your family and you feel that a chat would be useful please do get in touch. I’m here to help. Of course all information is kept confidential subject to the usual child protection guidelines.

I also organise a range of family activities such as - Art Attacks and Family Outings, and support our PTFA with their fundraising events. The Head-teacher and I also hold Coffee and Chat events each term. This is a chance for you to come along and let us have your views on how things are going at school for you and your family.
